FCA Authorisation Applications
Consumer Credit Permissions – Limited or Full Permission?
Often this alone causes confusion. As a group, we have experience in assisting a very broad range of clients and submit around 500 applications a year to the FCA. From car dealers wishing the ability to introduce finance options to their customers, to loan or mortgage providers, even banks. Our experience is here for you, to make sure you apply for exactly the permissions your firm needs.
Insurance, Mortgage and Investment Advisers
As a firm we also undertake full applications for retail intermediaries. The idea behind our service is that the clients involvement in the process is reduced to the absolute minimum.
What We Do
Everything. Well, almost. You will need to supply us with information about your firm and your intended activity. From that, we will undertake the entirety of your application. We write your Regulatory Business Plan, assemble financial projections, complete the entire online application. This includes senior manager function and controller forms. As well as this we supply you with a full suite of policy and procedure documents as needed. We will then work with you to answer any questions that come back from the FCA.
How Long Does It Take?
Much like the piece of string, that is hard to answer, and all depends on the complexity of the application. Assembling the entire application and getting it submitted to the FCA typically takes between 1 and 3 weeks from instruction, depending on the complexity of application. We have under extreme circumstances completed applications within 24 hours and consider ourselves highly commercial, pragmatic and responsive. Once into the FCA, the approval times range anything from two week to 12 months, the longest time frames at present for such as consumer credit lenders. Retail intermediary applications are typically approved within 4 months of submission.
